"Filmmaking is a chance to live many lifetimes"- Robert Altman
"If it can be written or thought, It can be Filmed"-Stanley Kubrick
PRODUCER
The insightful quotes of Robert Altman and Stanley Kubrick have always served as inspiration for me. Filmmaking is not an easy endeavor; the role of a producer is a highly sought-after skill that plays a crucial part in the entire ecosystem of movie-making, from recording raw footage to producing a final film. The responsibilities of a producer encompass planning, coordination, casting, directing, editing, managing finances, marketing, and distribution. Whether working with a production company or independently, film producers oversee the entire film production process.
I have had the privilege of being involved in various film and video projects, from pre-production to post-production. This experience has allowed me to collaborate with a range of talented artists, including Simi, Timaya, Ballonranking, Seyivibes, Ogc Maraji, Adipose, Zlatan, and many others.
CAMERA TECHNICIAN
The role of a camera technician is crucial in filmmaking, involving tasks such as maintaining and calibrating cameras and other photographic equipment. A camera technician must have the skills to disassemble and inspect the equipment to identify any issues. My experience as an inventory officer has provided me with the knowledge and ability to address various challenges related to the gear during filming. I have been fortunate to apply these skills while working on notable Nigerian film productions, including Jm Films (Meji Alabi), Polar Films (Dammytwitch), and Ladder Production.
CINEMATOGRAPHER
A cinematographer, also known as a director of photography (DP), is responsible for the visual representation of a film story in video production, The duties of this personnel can not be shortsighted, He/she embodies a part of the brain and strength in achieving a film work. The intellectual aspect sees him/her collaborating with the director to translate ideas into images and visiting the location for the proposed shoot. Managing the crew which consists of light, camera and griping crew while deciding on the camera and lighting equipment to use and also deciding on camera angles. The cinematographer is always seen as the first member of film production as he sees out the whole process of the production to mitigate any occurrence of setbacks that could be his/her fault. The thrill of being a cinematographer requires a lot of focus, reasoning, composition and dedication. Continuous learning is spun out of these and I have been privileged to see the works of some notable Nigeria (DP) such names as Fedworks Barnyee, Mr Movies and Ziad Abd Elbasit (Egypt). Also, I have DP on some commercial projects such as Vertella, Blue Skills, CaliDreams and Zest.
